Zukunftsstätte sees itself as a platform for cultural discourse. As part of the biennial Kulturregion Stuttgart Festival, the structural intervention symbolises the materialisation of a paradoxical future: a freeway gas station in the heart of Leonberg.

The temporary architecture functions as a medium for interaction – it poses questions, makes them haptically perceptible and thus open to discussion. Initiating processes, encouraging people to get involved in shaping their city, encouraging them to actively shape and question their daily living environment. What will Leonberg look like tomorrow?
